It seems that most serious chocolate lovers, love a good mint chocolate. So we have done our best to satisfy you all with this little creation. We use Tasmanian peppermint essential oil to get that amazing mint chocolate flavour and then use our raw cacao nibs from Xoconusco, Mexico to give the bar a crunch and an extra shot of raw chocolate power.

Gogi Berry & Camu Camu Raw Dark Chocolate

Description

In this bar we have combined the zingy, tangy flavour of camu camu extract with the sweet, tart flavour of the whole goji berries and we are very happy with the result. Camu camu is a small berry from the peruvian amazon that is very high in vitamin C, one of the highest natural sources of vitamin C available. The extract powder created by evaporating all the moisture out of the pulped flesh tastes a bit like a tangy sherbet.

This bar is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamin C and goji berries.

Raw Organic Dark Chocolate

Description

This is our signature dark chocolate. It is for the purists, who like their chocolate pure and intensely dark. The 72% cacao content is a little bit deceiving because the cacao is raw and unprocessed it is quite a bit richer than a conventionally processed 72% cacao content chocolate bar.

You will also experience the great flavour synergy of our dark wildcrafted agave syrup with the cacao, they blend together to create a distinctly original flavour.

Unlike other chocolate which has been sweetened by substances other than sugar, you will be delighted by the unadulterated flavour of chocolate which is deliciously sweet.

We use whole organic vanilla beans that are chopped and then ground to a powder whilst leaving just a few small pieces to surprise your taste buds with a burst of vanilla.

Raw chocolate

Sugar Free

Raw chocolate is a simple yet revolutionary approach to chocolate. It contains no sugar or dairy and is suitable for vegans, it is essentially uncooked, unprocessed chocolate in its pure rich essential form sweetened with agave syrup (a natural low GI sweetener). It is a wickedly decadent healthy treat. The cacao beans are not roasted and this means that their wealth of phytonutrients are fully intact. Our Raw chocolate has been independently tested by Southern Cross University to have up to 2 times the antioxidants of conventionally processed chocolate.

Antioxidants

Raw Cacao beans contain 10 grams of flavonol antioxidants per 100 grams, which is an incredible 10%. Research has also demonstrated that the antioxidants in cacao are highly stable and easily available to human metabolism. In the adjacent table you can see that raw cocoa powder has set the world record for antioxidants with nearly 4 times the amount of antioxidants as Goji Berries. The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) scale was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture to measure the ability of antioxidants to absorb free radicals, which normally cause cell and tissue damage. The higher the ORAC score, the higher the level of antioxidants present in the food.

Magnesium for the Heart and Brain

Raw cacao is the primary dietary source of magnesium, the most deficient mineral in western civilisation. Magnesium is the most important mineral for a healthy functioning heart. It also plays a key role in producing energy for the neurons in the brain from glucose. So when there is an abundance of magnesium the brain works with clarity and focus.

Mood elevators and Anti-depressants

Cacao is a great source of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenylethylamine (PEA), four well-studied neurotransmitters, which are associated with feelings of well being and help alleviate depression. Both PEA and Anandamide (the bliss chemical) are found in abundance in the brains of happy people and are particularly released when we are feeling happy. Both of these nuerotransmitters are present in raw cacao in large enough quanitities to affect the brain and lift our moods. Cacao also contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO Inhibitors) that keep neurotransmitters in the bloodstream for longer without being broken down.

We have all experienced the positive feelings associated with eating chocolate, now we have access to pure raw unadalterated chocolate in the form of organic raw cacao. This is much more potent than the processed chocolate and doesn't have any sugar or dairy products blocking the positive effects of all the goodies in raw cacao. My experience is that eating 11 raw cacao beans is enough to experience a blissful sense of well being.

A Peruvian berry; contains powerful phytochemicals including the amino acides serine, valine, and leucine and more Vitamin C than almost any other know plant in the world.

Gogi Berries
Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 5,000 years, high in anti-oxidants, Vitamin C and are said to increase one's 'chi' of vital force.

Organic

Our chocolate is certified organic; meaning it contains no chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers and has not been irradiated.

Fair Trade

Loving Earth buys Cacao directly from an Indigenous co-operative in Satipo, Peru; this co-operative is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.  Loving Earth pays well above the standard fair trade price; this ensure the exceptional quality of cacao and that money is reinvested in the local community

Heirloom

Loving Earth's Cacao is of the premium quality heirloom Criollo variety.  This cacao is shade grown under multi-story canopies in the rainforest.  As flavour is dependant on the bio-diversity of the surrounding forest, buying Criollo promotes biodiversity in the areas it is grown.

Dairy Free 

The absence of dairy products in Loving Earth chocolate enables greater bio-availability of the nutrients in cacao.

Agave Syrup

Loving Earth's Organic Agave Syrup is wild-crafted, and organically processed at a low temperature.

It is a raw product, vacuum evaporated at 40 degrees. A certified organic vegan enzyme is then selected to break down the sugars. The Agave syrup contains between 70 to 75% fructose.
The harvesting process, audited by Australian Certified Organic, have verified that no use of chemicals have been employed at any stage.
